Well, I’m looking for a new cosplay this year, and I really, really want it to be pretty hardcore. I want to start as soon as possible and I’m going to need it finished by the end of October.

But I need ideas, so that’s why I’m asking for help! For ANY SINGLE ONE of you who will give me a good idea I will draw you a chibi based on your blog ♥

These are some guidelines you should know before suggesting me cosplays:

• I love videogames, old and new. Comics are cool too!
• I must admit I’m a bit ‘disconnected’ from the anime world, so I may not know some of your suggestions until I look for them on Google (this, though, is easy to manage).
• I am short (about 160cm) and a bit chubby, so sexy costumes are very far out of my range. Plus my face is a bit too ‘manly’ for cute characters.
• I do cosplay male characters too.
• I like furry/anthro characters too.

And about my skills:

• I can sew, obviously.
• I know how to use foam and fimo.
• I can use resin and fiber glass.
• Also I could be able to use a small amount of latex.
• I could use real leather.
• I am able to work with small amounts of metal (tin-like).
• I can use LEDs systems and I know the basics for electronic devices.
• Contact lenses and wigs are super ok. Also masks or whatever.

So well, that’s all! I want something complicated, something to break my mind, I want a challenege this year and I want -I need- to start now.
Help me spreading this post, please!

Actually yes, I followed a guide I found here: tutorial Well, I did use lot of my own cosplayer experiences to make it my way, but I used the same ball base and helmet as in that great tutorial.

I also used the official mau5head sizes Joel Zimmerman himself posted online (they’re not hard to find via Google), so it is exactly the correct size and shape <3

My ears are different of the tutorial, as I didn’t use wood but cardboard and ethylene-vinycetate.  I covered the entire head with wide foam, to give to it resistance, softness and some centimeters extra (because the ball is about 3-5cm smaller). Then I covered everything on black velvet (I just glued it with hot-glue, sewing would be a pain in the ass! xD).

Furthermore, the tutorial uses ‘porexpan’ for the eyes, but I used two hard-plastic balls that I painted with black (I painted the inner part, so they stay bright and glass-like).

Apart of all that, you just need some good tools to work different materials, lot of hot-glue and a bit of inventiveness, because every head needs different elements! Like this one, this is the mau5head Sonos-like I made for my couple:

It’s made with lights in its eyes and fake leather as ‘skin’.

And well, if you make your own mau5head, show it to me, k?

Finally it’s in my skin! The tattoo is still red, swollen and shiny (because the lotion I have to use on it), but it’s so awesome. It’s my third tattoo, and not the last one!

I’m super happy, Daft Punk started being in my life 12 years ago, and they’ll be with me forever.

The Skrillkoala t-shirt I did about three months ago :3

The Daft Punk shoes I’ve been making the past days :3

The original shoelaces were white, but I changed them for yellow ones, to make the whole group quite brighter lol

I made a deadmau5 super BIG plushie! X3 It is 43cm tall (about 16,8”)!

I first made the nude body, and then I dressed him with denim, t-shirt, boxers (yeah, he wears underwear lol), socks, trainers and a fake leather jacket <3 I also added him a tail (it is a earphones connector) and a wire inside his torso and head, because I wanted to keep his head always straight.

I spend about… 5 or 6 hours I think, I should have needed some more time, but I was pretty tired :P I’ll add his tattoos later.

I was on first line in his concert in Barcelona last night, I was very, very close and the whole live was awesome. Sofi was amazing too!

Some drunk bitches wanted to break my mau5head ears (and finally they did, luckily the concert was ending…), and I was very sad because that and because Joel couldn’t come down to sign my robomau5, but then he twitted me back and I was like OMG CANNOT BE, and I just cried in my car like a stupid teen fangirl.
